How Our System Works
I have developed two early warning systems.
1. The Li-ion Safety Hub warning system alerts you to potential issues while charging your lithium-ion batteries, helping to keep your home, family and pets safe. Designed for use in any environment with an existing internet connection, the system must be within range of your wifi modem and the charger connected to it.
It uses a Home Hub (wifi) setup that shuts down the charging process, sends an alert to your mobile phone or iPad and sets off an alarm when it senses a problem. The alert can be seen on your mobile phone, or iPad where there is an internet connection, anywhere in the world. The system can be monitored and the charger can be turned on or off from your mobile phone or iPad.
You will also receive a message on your mobile phone or iPad if the charger has been turned on without your knowledge. This alerts you to any unsupervised manual charging, such as children charging e-bikes or e-scooters overnight, or the use of an incompatible charger. You will know the charger is on and will have the opportunity to check the charging process.
With the addition of extra sensors, this system could also monitor home/industry solar storage batteries or additional charging setups.
This Home Hub wifi system can have up to 64 devices connected to it, including extra sensors, smart plugs, cameras, floodlights, motion sensors and door bells. This system only uses 3 devices so has capacity for over 60 additional devices, giving you the option to install a whole house security system.
2. The Li-ion Safety Charging Station is a stand alone system that does not require a wifi connection and is already programmed to operate once it is plugged into power. It will shut down the charger and set off an alarm if it detects a problem with the charger or battery. It will remain off until it is reset. The Charging Station is completely portable and can be used anywhere there is 240v power available.
